The Wedding of Hayden & Holly – Lambton Park, Newcastle
Sometimes the best moments of your wedding day happen before the ceremony even begins. That was absolutely the case for Hayden and Holly, whose relaxed and joy-filled wedding at Lambton Park was everything a spring afternoon celebration should be—light-hearted, heartfelt, and full of laughter.
I met these two gorgeous souls in the early afternoon before the ceremony officially kicked off, and we got straight into capturing their pre-wedding portraits together. Taking your couple photos before the ceremony is always a great idea, especially if you want to calm the nerves, have a quiet moment together, and soak up the excitement of what’s to come.
And let me tell you—Hayden and Holly were glowing. There was something extra special about photographing them in the leafy surrounds of Lambton Park, where the golden light filtered through the trees and the energy was just buzzing.
From the very first look, these two couldn’t stop smiling. You could feel the connection between them—years of love and laughter shining through in every glance. Having their portraits done before the ceremony meant we could take our time, get creative, and explore different areas of the park without any pressure or timeline stress. It also meant they could go straight into enjoying time with their guests afterwards—no need to disappear for long photos post-ceremony.
Their ceremony, led by celebrant Ben Jones, was filled with heartfelt vows and happy tears. The music? Clocks by Coldplay for the aisle walk and Everlasting Love by U2 as they walked back up the aisle as newlyweds—total perfection.
With just over 60 of their nearest and dearest in attendance, it was an intimate and meaningful afternoon. Everyone was relaxed, the florals by Still Life Floral Art added the perfect touch of springtime magic, and the team from Newy Event Collective made the entire space feel romantic and timeless with white timber chairs and lush greenery.
